The Next Shirley Temple

My daughter Ella gets a lot of comments about her hair.  One of the most frequent comments is that she looks like the "next Shirley Temple."

What do you think?  Should we get Ella some singing lessons?

Embrace Those Curls

My daughter, Ella, is a curly top!  She has the most beautiful curls!

As you can see in these close up shots that her hair is especially curly right after she gets out of the bath.

I need to remember to avoid speaking negatively about having curly hair.  I need to start by embracing my own curls.

I should speak positively when referring to my own curly locks.  I want my sweet girl to love her hair and to love herself!

I apologize...

Ella Grace, I apologize.  You inherited my curly hair.  It is all my fault.   You have no idea what is in store for you in the future, the countless hours you will spend trying to tame that beast of a mane.   

Ella, here is some advice... if there is even the slightest chance of rain... wear a hat!
